What is Matchday Zero?

Matchday Zero is a browser-based online football management simulation where you guide your own club across squad building, competition, and matchday.

Lineup, training, scouting, the transfer market, finances, and infrastructure form the long-term club routine. League competition, additional competitions, and direct test-match invitations between managers bring those decisions together in the 2D match view.

Game Principle

One club, one season, connected decisions

Once registration is confirmed, you receive a club with a starter squad and enter league competition. From there, you prepare more than the next match: you develop the team and its wider club structure throughout the season.

TeamSquad, starting XI, roles, and bench

Build your team, assign roles, and prepare set pieces and substitution options for matchday.

DevelopmentTraining, academy, and scouting

Training develops player condition and roles, while scouting and the academy support longer-term squad planning.

ClubTransfers, contracts, and club economy

The transfer market, salaries, sponsorship, finances, and infrastructure give sporting decisions an economic context.

Online Competition

Competitions connect clubs managed by players

Matchday Zero is online because clubs meet in shared competitions and managers can invite one another directly to test matches. The league schedule structures the season, while friendlies and tournaments complement regular competition.

LeagueFixtures and table across the season

League matches run through a shared fixture plan. Results, the table, and upcoming season dates remain connected to your club.

Manager vs ManagerDirect test matches through invitations

Managers can invite another manager to a test match. Once accepted, a match is created between both saved teams.

Additional MatchesFriendlies and tournaments

Additional competition formats complement the league and remain visible in the match and calendar context.

MatchdayDecisions become readable in 2D

Lineup, score, events, and match scenes come together in the browser-based matchday view.

Product Focus

Management with a readable matchday

The central idea is not to add as many disconnected menus as possible. Matchday Zero connects the decisions before a match with what happens next: scouting provides context, the lineup shapes the team, and the 2D match view shows how the game develops.

Premium Points are intended for cosmetic and non-competitive content. They do not change results or sporting chances.
